The option to select fast charging is in settings>Battery and is the last item. Are you saying this isn't visible on your device?

OK, so you are using the charger and cable that came with the phone? Can you try another USB cable and see what happens? Thanks

Did a bit of reading. Seems most didn't have cables firmly in place. Charging in a wall socket as opposed to a power strip works. There's other ideas in this thread http://forums.androidcentral.com/sam...t-working.html
Let us know if anything works?

That certainly shouldnt happen. Try wiping system cache. Sometimes following a major update gremlins get left behind. A factory reset is generally recommended but i regard this as a last resort. A cache wipe wont affect your data.

If your phone has been tested it may be worth spending a few ££. I found this https://www.doohickey-hut.com/produc...nt=13020054983

Its pretty much a stock answer. You have alsu had conflicting reports. Im inclined to think charger as you have cleared cache which should sort out sw issues

ok so i borrowed a fast charger from a neighbour and it still wouldnt work and i tried my charger to his phone and the fast charger came straight on so looks like its the phone and the software that was updated recently that has caused the problem

Yes, I personally hate having to do it. The best method is Helium as it saves your app data.Samsung Smart Switch is easier to use but omits app data. Are you from sunny Norwich? My brother in law lives in Wymondham
