    Hi. I recently upgrade android And i want to do a factory reset. Should i delete the cache partition first or it is not needed?

    The app cache partition is cleared by a factory reset, the system cache partition may or may not be, so clear it separately, just to be sure.

    Assuming everything is working as intended, there is no reason that you should ever have to clear the cache partition.

    A factory reset *should* clear out this partition anyway, but that can vary between manufacturers. If you're just wanting to clear the phone and start over, I wouldn't worry about it unless you are specifically have a problem.

    If you are about to sell the phone to someone else, I say better safe than sorry.
