Question for Rooted LG phone Owners

While researching about rooting my phone, I came across a website (s-config, it won't let me post the link) that indicates if LG attempts to update your phone and you accept it and the update notices the phone is rooted, LG will hard brick the phone.

For currently rooted LG users, is this the case? If it is how do I avoid it? Do I just have to uproot my phone before updating? Thanks in advance.
