I have an LG G Flex2 phone that I got a year ago. It had some battery/ crash issues when I got it and realized that there was a fix on the updated OS. The problem is that only ATT customers got the update at the time and I was on a prepaid plan. So I rooted it not really knowing what I was getting into. I figured I could update the OS that way. I was wrong.

Anyway, yesterday I saw that the update finally came to straight talk and decided to install it. After it installed a screen popped up saying that the update can't install because the phone is rooted.

    Am I screwed?

Install the OS that's in it, but an original copy - not rooted. Then update. Then see if there's a root method available for that version. (It's the ROM, not the phone, that gets rooted, so each update needs a new rooting method.)
