Best phone for my needs on Verizon no-contract plan

A

AC Question

I am switching to Verizon no-contract plan. I use my phone mostly at home over wi-fi and to record cooking videos for a teaching series. I'm constantly working on my social media sites (startup biz). My daughter said I should get a Samsung S7, unlocked, and root it so I don't waste so much memory on bloatware. Someone would have to do that for me as I have no idea how to do that. I want the best phone for these needs for the least amount of money. I had an HTC, which was junk, and an LG which has better connectivity but a host of other issues and takes awful photos. Suggestions? I've never spent this much money on a phone and don't want to waste money I really don't have.

I'm with bigmatt503, If you're going to root the Samsung and remove bloatware, just get the Nexus 6P for less and you won't have to remove bloatware. The price on the 6P should be coming down today, making it an even better value (I'd almost consider grabbing a second one if it's a good enough value).
