phone keyboard not showing or working

[AC Question]

When I click on my android Note 6 phone icon all of a sudden I don't get the dial pad, I get a menu asking me to choose between: use touch ton keypad (doesn't work), Return to call screen (doesn't work), add call, (does not work I get " call not sent"..) I have tried the suggestions on the forums and they didn't work for me.
