Is there a setting that expands the number of rings?

Open dial pad, press **61*101 *30#and press call button. The last number is the number of seconds it rings before it gets diverted. You have a choice of 15, 20, 25 or 30... Note that the 101 may be the telstra voicemail number, you may just want to check with your own network first.. The rest is the code should be universal...
