I'm having major issues with my Nexus 5. The Camera app says it "couldn't connect to the camera". When I tried using another camera app, only the front camera works. Won't even show show the button to switch to rear camera. My flash doesn't work either when I try using it with a flashlight app, it says "hardware doesn't support LED".

I went to a T-Mobile store and had them check it out. They couldn't figure it out either, and they think it's a software issue since after a factory reset, the Camera app wasn't even installed/enabled.

So. it seems like my rear camera and flash have been completely disabled by the latest Android upgrade. Please help.

Does this persist in Safe Mode?

Tried that. Safe Mode didn't change a thing. Is there some other setting that's disabling the camera?

Perhaps it's hardware failure of the camera module.
