cant get past checking connection on Samsung A3 6

[AC Question]

i bought this samsung a3 2016 model and trying to set it up when i put my wifi on the phone it goes to the second step which just says "checking connection and this can take a while". its been like that for more than 3 hours and i tried turning it off and on but stills does not get past that spot.

If the power cycle (on and off) doesn't work, check a) that you're trying to connect to your wifi connection, b) that it's strong enough, c) that there's at least one address left in the router that's not being used (there's a range of addresses the DHCP server can lease).
