My sister just got a Moto G4 Play and unfortunately dropped it on the first day! It was on to a concrete surface and the screen smashed. LCD still intact, just digitiser replacement required. I can imagine it doesn't make financial sense to get Motorola to do the repair, but equally, I cannot find any parts available online.

Any suggestions on compatible digitizers from previous G4 models or specialist stockists where I can find the appropriate digitizer would be great. Or is perhaps just a matter of time before these are available because it is still a relatively new model?

    Many thanks,

I would have two concerns if I were to do it myself:

    Maintaining the water resistance rating
Maintaining the warranty. If she has an issue down the road, Motorola has an out on resolving the issue if you've opened the device yourself.

I would get a quote from Motorola, but it honestly can't cost much less than just replacing the phone - the phone is only $150 direct from Motorola here in the US.
