Will my boost sim card work in an unlocked at&t galaxy s5

I have a galaxy s5 that is locked to at&t and i currently have service thru boost on my galaxy j7. My question is, will my boost sim card from my j7 work in the s5 if i get it unlocked from at&t? Also, at&t doesnt want to provide me the unlock code. Will paying one of the unlock services really work in this case?

1. AT&T has to - if the phone is paid for.

2. No, Boost is Sprint, which uses CDMA, AT&T is GSM. The hardware isn't compatible. (All that unlocking does is allow the card to be recognized - it doesn't make the hardware do something it's not designed to do.)
