(Experimental) Connecting As Many Phones To PC As Possible

I have like 30 android phones I've collected over the years!

one day i decided to hook ALL of them to my PC and see what happens, lol

when plugged in INDIVIDUALLY, they would be recognized.

BUT... I could not get my computer to recognize them simultaneously!

I only got two connections simultaneously, any more than that.. all failed

I think these could be possible problems

1)the phones are drawing too much power -> need powered hubs? 2)My Pc is too old for multi recognition -> need a new pci usb 3.0 port?

these are the possible solutions that I thought of...

can any experts shed some light on how to connect 30 or more (sky is the limit!) smartphones to ONE PC???

I'm guessing powered hubs might help, but... why would you ever need to do this?
