How can I get rid of the second sign on and only use the fingerprint

I just got the LG V20 and i set the fingerprint to unlock the screen but it also asks for the pin aftewards. How do I just use my fingerprint?

There's both for extra security protection. You can use your fingerprint or PIN.

So I have mine set up for Home under Smart Lock. The PIN screen shows up only when I double knock to wake up the screen, but I can use the fingerprint instead to unlock it.

When the screen times out I use my fingerprint and it works.
