Why is my Samsung Galaxy S6 muting the caller on the other end?

When I call someone, I will be talking with them, and then suddenly, I cannot hear them, but they can hear me. It happens literally every two minutes on every phone call. If I press the Home Button at the bottom of the screen it temporarily corrects the problem. It continues to happen with my phone in SAFE MODE and after clearing my cache. HELP!!!
