getting rid of the clipboard after coping files

I use teamviewer for remote access and copy files between the two computers, the files show up in the clipboard, my problem is that the two of the files I copied remain on the clipboard and are visible on my screen and I can't get rid of them, please help

Copy something else (like one letter) to the clipboard and what was there before goes away. (Unless you're running a "clipboard app" that can keep more than one thing in its internal "clipboard" at a time.)
