What is the best OS/hardware for cross-OS computing?

I am using Android 6 and Chrome OS at home, Windows 7 & 10 at work with Office 365 and sometimes need to open Mac files as well.

I would like a low to mid-range device that could allow access to all these.

Welcome to the forums. I think Google Docs can open most file types.
