How to fix a ghost image or app on a samsung s4 active

I am having an issue with my Samsung s4 active. it just fell and the battery and the back of the phone flew off. When I pUT the phone back together and turned the phone on, I noticed that the last screen I was on is visible even though the phone is booting up. Even when the screen is on the menu I can see a next screen in the background and it won't leave. HOW do I get rid of this issue?

Even in the notification bar I can see Google play notifications like a ghost image but they aren't really there.

If it's actually a ghost image, it's burned into the screen and the only way to "get rid" of it is to replace the screen.

First try turning the phone off and leaving it off overnight.
