I downloaded some videos from Facebook Messenger and they play perfectly fine when I open them on my phone.

But when I copy these files to my computer via USB connection to my phone and Windows Explorer, the videos do not play. Only the audio plays, but the video is stuck at the first frame. I have tried playing in Media Player Classic and VLC media player and made sure that I am up to up-to-date with codecs, but to no avail.

I have also tried emailing the video files to myself, and downloading them to my computer, but the videos still do not play.

What is the best way to transfer downloaded videos from my phone (Samsung Galaxy S7) to a Windows computer (Windows 10)? Thank you.

What file type are the videos? Windows may not have a video player that can play them.
