Why does each photo taken on a Samsung galaxy S7 take 1GB size?

I recently bought a Samsung galaxy S7 (128GB internal memory) and when taking photos, the photo size take 1GB per photo. Can you help me how to decrease this file size per photo, so that it does not take too much memory.

In the camera app, change the file size. Look for a tab with (probably) 16:9 at the top of the screen
