My galaxy s3 is stuck on auto boot and keeps on saying software update. How do I fix it?

OK so basically my phone doesn't turn on until I repeatedly press the power button but when it does turn on, all it does is show the logo and then it says software update and it repeats over and over again. Also i cannot go into recovery mode at all,only Odin mode.PLS help!

That's good, because you'll need Odin mode to reflash the ROM - and it looks as if the update wiped the ROM out. (Bring it to your carrier and see if they can reflash the update manually. If they can, you're all set. If not, and they have to reflash the entire ROM, you'll lose all your data and all your downloaded apps.)
