Unfortunately, Mail has Stopped message

[AC Question]

I am able to receive my gmail on my HTC One. And I can successfully forward email from this account. But when I try to reply to email, I get the Unfortunately, Mail has stopped message. Does anyone know how to "fix" this?

What version of Android? What email app? Is it the default?
