    Hi all.

I have a standard non rooted sony z2 with android 6.01
And I am trying to find my exact path to sd card in a certain format to get an older app to work.
I have searched and found a lot of answers. But they are not working for me since noone writes the path like this.
Sorry I am not that great with the unix way of path building. If that is it even
And with the new names and linkarounds for the sdcard its not getting easier.

For the files to be read I need to enter a path in this way:
    file://mnt/sdcard/myfilesdrawer/filledwithmyfiles

But in all the file explorer programs i use it shows my sd card as:
    /storage/3263-17FA/
But I cant find where the file:// or the mnt/ go. Or if they should be there at all.

So how do I enter my sd card in that format they want?

    Thanks!!!

If the card was formatted as internal storage, it's not file://, it's storage://. If you want it in the other format the card has to be formatted as external storage, then it's usually file://mnt/extSDcard/myfilesdrawer/filledwithmyfiles (case counts in Linux - extsdcard isn't the same path as extSDcard).

The card doesn't have to be mounted to /mnt, that's just the usual way to mount any external files, so you'll have to use a file manager to find the actual path if the file you want isn't at file://mnt/extSDcard/myfilesdrawer/filledwithmyfiles. (But the card still has to be formatted as external storage or, as far as the phone is concerned, there's just "storage", not "internal" and "external".)
