I cannot turn on my camera flash. I have reset , deleted cache, restarted, changed modes, uninstalled flashlight app ( which was working so I know the flash works). It is gray and stays gray no matter what setting I change. Any suggestions??

Try Safe Mode. Tell us what happens.
Safe mode?? I have no idea how to get my S5 active camera in "safe" mode. If you meant "auto" mode, it is and nothing has changed.
