Switched from iPhone to Samsung. How do I restore my whatsapp chats?

I recently switched from an iPhone to a Samsung and i have found that after backing up my chats on my iphone (on iCloud) i was unable to restore them on my new phone. Whenever i try restoring it on my samsung it says that no backup is found on Google drive. I really dont want any of my chats deleted. Help?

Google drive and icloud are different entities (enemies even), so I doubt you can move from one to the other. However I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will come along and tell me that I'm wrong and steer you in the right direction... :-)

Your Android phone is not going to talk to iCloud.
Your best bet is to copy the backup from iCloud to your desktop computer then to Google Drive, where the Samsung phone will see it.
