Welcome to the forums. Is there any way you can show a screenshot?

Welcome to Android Central! Agreed, a screenshot would be helpful: http://forums.androidcentral.com/gen...d-central.html

Are you seeing that "False" in the Settings>Apps menu, or in the App Drawer, or in the main System Settings?

What do you mean by completely wiping out your old version and having a new system? A factory reset will wipe all of the data from the phone and will use the current Android version firmware on the phone (i.e., it won't revert to the original version that the phone came with).
