How can I disable the "hold" button which I keep pressing accidentally during calls?

I hold my S6 Edge Plus in my left hand. I have an old habit of holding the phone at a bit of an angle to keep from greasing the phone. Unfortunately the dialer has a "hold" button at the top tight of the screen and I am *forever* activating this during a call. It's super, super annoying. I literally do not ever want to put anyone on hold. It's not a useful or needed feature and only gets activated accidentally. I have seen many other complaints about this on S7, S7 Edge etc. but no solutions. Thanks.
