My wife just bought me a Galaxy Samsung S7. It did not come with any instructions at all. The charger that comes with it is a fast charger....50V/2.0A. I have hundreds of chargers at my house and they are all...50V/1.0A.

I've always been told that fast-charging wears down the battery life much quicker. And that's slow charging maintains the battery life.

Am I able to use the OEM 50V/1.0A chargers on my S7? I

The fast charger and phone communicate to allow fast charging. If you turn off fast charging on the phone, the phone will charge at normal speed... even with using the 2.0 amp fast charger. That said, it'll be the same charging rate as using a generic charger of 1 amp (as long as it supplies the required voltage/current). Just turn off fast charging in the battery app on the phone and you're good to go. By the way, it's 5.0 volts... not 50V. (typo maybe?)
