My galaxy core primes screen is flickering and unresponsive. Can i fix it?

My phone fell into a toilet but it wasn't completely submereged. I rescued it seconds after and only the top got wet. I remove the battery, sim card, and sd card right after and dried it to the best I could. The phone was still on at the time and it still turned on after the fact but I have everything removed and in a sealed bag of rice. Will this fix it or will I need tk get it repaired?

It'll probably cost more to attempt a repair than to buy a new phone... especially if you have to start chasing the problem down by replacing parts.
