I can't access my contact or call lists on HTC One M9

Constant message on my screen for the last 3 days, "unfortunately people has stopped"...., I have tried rebooting, restarting, restoring and wiping catch partition but can't get rid of the message or access my contact lists. PK

Have you cleared the cache for that app in Settings, Apps, All?

If so, does the problem persist in Safe Mode?
