LG G5, not charging, shows a yellow speech-bubble with a thermometer inside it instead.

AC Question

My LG G5 has not been charging since yesterday, as far as I know, there have been no liquid or drop-related damage. It just shows a yellow speech-bubble with a thermometer inside. What may be the problem, should I get a new battery?

Missing text, evidently - either "The battery is too hot to charge" or "The battery is too cold to charge" (or something to that effect). It's usually a bad temperature sensor, unless you've recently dropped the phone, or had the battery out and dropped it. Replacing the battery may or may not fix it. See if an independent repair shop has a spare G5 battery to pop in there and see if it charges. If it does, you have to replace the battery. If you get the same "speech bubble", you have to have the sensor replaced.
