Why does my Moto g3 not detect sim cards and not connect to wifi?

It has a burning smell(like a plastic wire burn) from the sim slot 1. Earlier some coffee got spilt on it. Do I have to take it to the service centre ? My phone is under warranty. Does the warranty cover this? pls reply asap. thank you very much for your time.

It needs attention by a repairer. The warranty excludes accidental damage.
