How do i delete an app icon without Uninstaller the actual app on my Samsung Galaxy S7?

When I hold and press an app icon on my home screen or in my app screens, the icons get the little ' - ' beside it. If I press the app again in an attempt to delete the icon but not the app itself, it asks me if I would like to Uninstaller the app.

How are you foing to access the app if you could delete the icon?

If you just want the app hidden but still working you would have to use a custom launcher like Nova or Holo that have a hide apps feature. If you don't want it seen and don't need it functioning, but just don't want to uninstall it... You can disable it in settings.

What phone are you using? Typically on Android removing the app from the home screen does not remove the app from the phone/device. The ultimate place you'd go to remove the app would be the app drawer.
