Can I use a nano sim card in a phone which takes a micro sim?

I need to send my Galaxy S6 back for repair under warranty but cannot do without a phone for the two weeks they are quoting to repair it. I still have my old Galaxy S4, so I'm wondering whether the nano sim card from the S6 can be used (with an adapter?) in the S4 to keep me going in the meantime.

Also, research the different types. I believe that cheap ones can result in damage to the sprung contacts in the slot, whereas expensive ones lock the SIM firmly in the adaptor, which prevents damage when the whole assembly is removed.
