Jawbone era echo problem

I used to have a bose series 2 bluetooth headset. It worked great, noise cancellation is a must because sometimes I am in noisy environments. It got lost and bose does not male them anymore. So I figured I would move on, found some good reviews on the jawbone era. I must have been spoiled with the bose product. The jawbone works great until I get around any other noise, even driving in my work van is too much. I hear a echo through the headset and the other person can not hear me, I sound very echoed from the other side. Jawbone customer support phone just has a recording saying their call center is not in operation (tried several times in the past several weeks) and they do not respond to emails. Has anyone found a fix for this besides resetting, unpairing and repairing, the only fix on jawbones website?
