    I just updated to Marshmallow 6.0.1 (1/3/2017), and would like to root my phone. I am a novice to rooting and any assistance would be appreciated. I was unable to locate any info on the web in regards to my phone.

    The sunshine apk will unlock the bootloader when the turbo was on lollipop. The problem is that once you updated to marshmallow Im pretty sure you cannot unlock the bootloader. BTW you must unlock the bootloader to flash super su to obtain root.

    So... I just went to the sunshine website and its not going to happen. Marshmallow is not supported by sunshine on the droid turbo. Should have rooted on lollipop.

    Thank you for the info. I am not sure what a not loader is, but I can follow direction and do learn fast when hands on.

    Is there any update on this question? I have moved from Verizon to t-mobile and want to unlock some of the Verizon restrictions.
