An example would be the stock email app, removing it doesn't affect the phone's other functions, does it? Is there a certain way to remove bloatware, or do I need to quick-fix the errors?

Hi Vorpike, removing factory installed apps seldom ends well, you can disable stuff from app menu and that will keep it out of your hair, and you can make them hidden in your app drawer with some launchers..
You can stop notifications from apps if your running later software which should stop the pop-ups.
I run a tight ship here, everything is blocked or disabled, all permissions blocked unless I need them.. you can tidy up the device without getting too drastic and still have it functional.. That's the beauty of Android...

Welcome to Android Central! I agree with Tim1954. Which phone do you have, and is it rooted? I'm assuming it is, because you can't uninstall a preinstalled app unless the phone is rooted.
