My home internet has been down since 31.12.16 so i have been using my Nexus 6p's hotspot with my pc and ps4 but with something weird happening. the hotspot itself stays on but my pc and ps4 suddenly loose connection and the hotspot dissapears from access point lists on both devices. i didn't find any timeout options either and the timing isn't always the same (sometimes it goes 3-5 hours working and sometimes just 20 minutes is enough to disconnect from everything). data usage also isn't the problem or battery % since i keep it almost all the time charged when using the hotspot.

has anyone else had problems like this and/or have any solution?

Welcome to Android Central! Who's your carrier? Does your plan have a monthly limit for tethering?

I have the same problem. I'm on t-mobile. I have not hit my data limit. I do have a plan that allows tethering and hotspot. I have reset my network several times. I have called t-mobile several times and troubleshot the problem several times. It will always disconnect or just stop having internet. I recently did a factory reset and I still have the same issue. It is definitely the phone itself.
