cannot access pics/videos on Samsung s7 through PC

checked that driver installed on PC. phone comes up on portable devices. click to open, nothing. right click on phone, click to import pics/ videos. Msg "no new pics or videos found on this device". Not able to access pics/videos. What do I try next?

Welcome to Android Central! When you connect via USB, swipe down the notification panel, and look for an MTP option (you might have to tap a USB notification first). After MTP is selected, go to Windows Explorer and look for the phone in the device list.
