Does Android Auto work with Galaxy Note 3

[AC Question]

I have a Chevy Z71 that I am unable to use voice commands to reply to text. I downloaded Android Auto and still cannot use voice reply. Can you help?

What version of Android is that phone running? Have you plugged the phone into the truck to make the Android Auto connection to the phone?
