Multiple issues with Samsung note 4 even after factory reset and also safe mode

[AC Question]

Phone is Samsung Note 4 SM-N910F, Android version 6.0.1
Baseband version N910FXXU1DPB1
Build number MMB29M.N910FXXU1DPL2

Not rooted but is unlocked

It suddenly started playing up for no reason. It runs OK in safe mode until it is turned off. Then difficult to start into any mode without holding power for 1 min with battery out. Sometimes gets stuck on the downloading update even tho' it is not downloading anything

I have done a factory reset. I have run in safe mode and removed all downloaded apps

If I hold power and then press "restart" it does not restart.

When trying again to do a factory reset it is stuck on "installing system update"

It is almost useless now.

How can I resurrect it? Can I reinstall the software to this version or even the last very of Android?
