Can't disable beauty mode effect? S6 Edge/

A

AC Question

Hey everyone,

I was thinking of maybe buying an S6 Edge in the near future, mainly for the camera.

Which is why it's kind of concerning reading all these older posts about not being able to completely disable beauty mode, even after setting the bar to 0.

Does downloading a different camera app solve the problem? Has there been a software update to fix this, or anything like that?

From what I understand this was a really common complaint ever since the release of S6 Edge.

Is this a problem with the front-facing camera as well as the rear camera, or just the front camera?

Sorry for all the questions, but I haven't seen any concrete information about this.

Is the problem most apparent under low lighting conditions?

Is the problem non-existent under good lighting conditions?

Would greatly appreciate some insightful answers!

Cheers

So I'm in a similar boat. I have yet to own a Galaxy and I want to for the camera. I hear great things. I have horrible luck with phones so I want to stick to the older and cheaper models.
I'm debating on a S6 or S7.
Did you ever find answers?
Do S6 have these camera modes?
Do these modes work for both front and back camera?
Can they be disabled?
