how do i make a folder to transfer phone info from one to another

i need step by step to make a folder to put my old cell phone info in so that i can transfer it to my Galaxy 3 samsung with verizon provider?

What kind of data are you looking to transfer? Some isn't so easy (game progress), some is. The data that should transfer easy would be contacts, calendar, email, photos - provided you're using Google to store and back up that info.

Game data CAN transfer, if the game uses Google Play Games to sync your progress. Provider doesn't make a LOT of difference. What DOES make a difference is that it sounds like you're working with older versions of Android. Starting with Marshmallow, Google allowed apps to back up using hidden stores on Google Drive, you could then restore the data easier on new or reset devices.
