headset port not working pproperly

[AC Question]

I think I have some issues in the aux port my phone is Galaxy Note2 and when I plug in my headset I hear noise. It happens before and I take the phone to the maintainance so the guy told me he has to change the port for about $30. I know my phone is old but I love it yet I am not well to pay 30 dollars every year!
