Screen Overlay madness!

[AC Question]

So I was getting recently the 'allow or deny' then screen overlay detected - open settings' issue popping up in some apps. I got fed up and did a factory reset. ANNND its back.
Tried attaching a file on gmail and it came up. cant get out of it. Endless cycle of going to settings and back button etc

Any known fix to this??

You need to temporarily turn off the app acting as the overlay. This is normally something like:
a screen dimmer (Lux, Twilight)
menus or trays that slide out from the side
Facebook bubbles
multiple apps by Cheetah Mobile
