Running Android 5.1.1 on a ZTE Max Duo (Straight talk phone). No problems with any app but Google app. Starts, loads, crashes immediately. If I delete updates and run factory installed version, runs just fine. Every few days I permit the phone to update Google. It works just fine for an hour, or a day, then crashes again when I run it. Going back to original version (deleting updates) fixes the problem. Any clue why this phone will not run updated Google app for more than a few hours?

It's referred to as engineered obsolescence.. The Android 5 is or has become obsolete thus when Google attempt to update their app, Thus the app will crash, defiantly a few conflicts within the app running on an older system. Thou I've yet to encounter this issue myself, Prob because I've blocked the Goggle App in the first place. My wife on the other hand, still used the app on her 5.. so I'll keep my eye out for this.. Lastly, if something hurts or doesn't work.. why keep doing it?.. in other words.. locate a new browser app.
