Forgot the pattern on lock screen

I forgot the pattern for the lock screen and when I try to change it from pattern to password or change it at all it wants me to confirm the pattern. I don't remember what it is. I don't want to do a reset and loose everything. Help!!!

Hello, your concern is legit as no one would like to loose the data on their dear smartphone device. What you can do is to draw a wrong pattern around 4-5 times when it prompts that you have forgotten the pattern, your device would ask you to use your google account that is setup with your device.This should surely help your access your phone. If you have forgotten the account details on your phone then you would sadly be needing to factory reset your device.
