A
AC Question
Two of us just signed up with Cricket yesterday. I was trying to send a text from my PC to the other cellphone,
The e-mail address I used was 123456789@sms.att.net
It went through. Then I tried sending one to my phone, but it would not, and gave me an error:
xxxxxxxxxx@txt.att.net: (number masked)
SMTP error from remote server for RCPT TO command, host: mx3b.txt.att.net (166.216.152.132) reason: 550 5.1.1 <6196359740@txt.att.net> recipient does not exist here.
But the other phone on the same account worked with this procedure.
Then I called Cricket, and they said to take my PC to the Cricket store and they might be able to show me...!
Then on the net it said to use sms.mycricket.com. That didn't seem to work either.
Last nite, it worked when I used xxxxxxxxxx@txt.att.net!
What is the deal here? If I can't do it, then how come it works sometimes? If I can do it, then what is the correct process that will work all the time?
