Yesterday, I dropped my phone on the road and it was working fine until this morning. I noticed a crack on the bottom right corner of the screen and ran my finger across it ( to check how bad it is), and immediately afterwards the lower half of my screen became unresponsive.
Now I can't unlock my phone (because I can't insert the unlocking pattern) and can't access my data.
If it is going to go for a repair I'd like to wipe off any data prior to handing it over to someone because I'm a privacy freak.
1. Please tell me how to unlock my cell phone and if that's possible at all!
2. If not, please tell me how to transfer the data without having to unlock it - because I can't unlock it.
3. How do I perform a hard reset on it? I tried pressing the various combinations of volume keys + power button but either nothing happens or the cell just turns off.
I really need help. Please guide. Thanks!
