    When there is no sim, battery and awake state is normal, but when I insert the sim the phone stays awake. Moto e3 power marshmallow

    Welcome to Android Central! It's probably because the phone can now connect to mobile data and periodically sync the data for various apps.

    I have turned off mobile data and wifi so I think it's not the case

    Try installing GSam Battery Monitor and see if it can tell you what's keeping the phone awake.

    I solved it by replacing the one of the sim cards with a 4G capable one

    Glad it's working now! But are you saying that the previous card was only 3G? I'm not sure why that would keep the phone awake.
