HTC One M8, Android 6.0. Keyboard has a mind of its own, especially the top row. I type a letter, it produces duplicate letters (or numbers) or autocompletes a word. I've recalibrated it. No change.

Slap it on the bottom and tell it to behave itself!
Have you tried to force stop the app, clear its cache and open it again...? Welcome to the forums 😊

Welcome to Android Central! Updates to the Android System Webview app can sometimes cause weird issues with the keyboard. Try going to Settings>Apps, select Android System Webview, and Uninstall. This will revert the app back to the factory version.
